Commission
Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc. pays commission for large commercial groups (251+ eligible employees) as a percent of premium and a fixed per-member per month for all smaller commercial groups. Broker compensation may also include payments resulting from other bonus/incentive programs offered by KFHP-MAS. Please refer to the Broker Compensation Plan or your group rate proposal for specific details.
Incentives*
- For total new sales and retention of qualified groups between December 31, 2021 and December 31, 2022, under the 2022 Book of Business Bonus, an Agency may earn a cash bonus from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., in amounts from $4 to $200 per subscriber (but no more than $1 million per year) depending on the total number of subscribers enrolled.
- For enrolling new members into existing groups in 2022, the broker may receive a cash bonus from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., ranging from $2,500 to $7,500 per group. Payments, if any, are based on net growth in the number of subscribers.
- For the sale of new commercial groups of 500+ eligible employees during 2021 and enrolling a minimum of 251 new subscribers, brokers may receive a cash bonus from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., of up to $50,000 per group.

Additional or special compensation
Brokers may qualify for additional or special compensation. Please refer to Broker Bonus Programs and your agreements for detailed information. Programs include:
- Broker may earn a cash bonus from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., ranging from $1,000 - $3,000 for conducting finalist meetings and sale of qualifying groups between May 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021
- Broker may earn a cash bonus from Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc., ranging from $1,000 - $10,000 for qualifying new small groups from June 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022.
Brokers and consultants shall disclose to their clients all commissions and other payments made to them by Kaiser Permanente and Kaiser Permanente Insurance Company in compliance with all legal requirements.
