Adjusting monitor settings

You may want to adjust the screen resolution in your monitor settings to help Web pages fit better on your screen, or to make items on Web pages appear larger.

Our website is designed for a screen resolution of 800 x 600.

Lower resolutions, such as 640 x 480, will make items on the page appear larger. However, less of the Web page will fit on the screen, so you may have to scroll horizontally to view the entire page.

Higher resolutions, such as 1024 x 768, will make more of the Web page fit on your screen, but individual items will appear smaller.

To change your screen resolution:

Windows

  1. From the "Control Panel" window, click on "Adjust screen resolution" under "Appearance and Personalization."
  2. On the "Resolution" drop down, drag the slider to choose a screen resolution, then click "Apply."

Mac OS X

  1. From the Apple menu, go to "System Preferences" and select "Displays."
  2. Select your desired setting under "Resolutions."

On other operating systems
